Oncologische patiënten kunnen tijdens hun traject te maken krijgen met een breed scala aan klachten, die variëren van misselijkheid door chemotherapie tot stress, angst en depressieve gevoelens. Deze klachten kunnen worden verlicht door middel van complementaire therapieën afkomstig uit de traditionele Chinese geneeskunde, zoals acupunctuur. Tijdens het jaarlijkse VVRO-congres in maart 2026 gaf dr. Anneleen Six een voordracht over de werking van acupunctuur en besprak zij verschillende casussen binnen haar werk als acupuncturist bij oncologische patiënten.
