Florence Lewis is klinisch psycholoog aan het Jules Bordet Instituut in Brussel. Met een achtergrond in medische hypnose en een specialisatie in psychooncologie richt haar werk zich op psychologische interventies voor patiënten met gevorderde kanker en hun naasten. Als onderdeel van het psychooncologisch team van het Jules Bordet Instituut ondersteunt zij patiënten bij het omgaan met de complexe psychologische uitdagingen die een kankerdiagnose met zich meebrengt. Tijdens het recente SIO-congres in Brussel deelde zij juist haar inzichten in de uitdagingen van zorgverleners in de oncologie. Ook gaf ze effectieve strategieën om professionele uitputting te voorkomen.
